![]() ![]() Mario Party Superstars feels like an improvement in some aspects, but also a downgrade in others when compared to Super Mario Party. Although not playable, many characters seen in other games do make an appearance, including Toad, Toadette, Koopa Troopa, Bowser, Bowser Jr, Kamek, Sky Guy, Paratroopa, Goomba, Lakitu, Thwomp, and Monty Mole. All of the characters with the exception of Birdo were playable in the previous game. However, the list of the playable characters is much smaller than what was available in the previous entry, Super Mario Party, which featured 20 playable characters. The line-up of characters spans across many different games in the series, ranging from the classic NES titles to the more recent Super Mario Galaxy series. The characters that are playable in Mario Party Superstars are as follows. None of them give any competitive advantage over the other as they don't have stats, the characters are just purely cosmetic. In total, there are 10 characters to choose from in Mario Party Superstars. Mario Party Superstars features remade boards from the N64 trilogy, as well as 100 minigames that were chosen from all of the previous entries in the series. ![]() Mario Party Superstars is available now on the Nintendo Switch and the second entry in the series to be released on the platform.
